Moon globe map is composed of thousands of photographs from NASA and The European Space Agency and show the Moon with great accuracy and richness of detail as no globe ever before.

The Moon globe floats free in a computer-controlled magnetic field and rotates electronically. The planets float under accurate and detailed models of the space probes which have visited and taken photos of these planets.

A magnetic field sensor permanently measures the height at which the moon sphere is suspended.  The sensor and the micro computer in the base control an electronic magnet in the upper part of the frame, checking the distance between the globe and magnetic head.  An additional, permanent magnet in the base holds the sphere safely on the frame when the suspension mechanism is switched off.
