Gemstone globes are handmade with a variety of semi precious stones that are individually hand carved to represent each country and has an option of a beautiful 24K gold plated or silver tone stand with a compass set in base. Each gemstone globe features 25 semi precious stones selected from countries around the world and, where possible, show the country of origin. Longitude, latitude and international date line are added with a fine gold or silver thread. The 13" diameter shows United States in different color gemstones. The elegant gold plated brass or pewter stands feature a compass, and a full swing calibrated meridian, which allows for easy viewing of any part of the globe (meridian - the ring that holds the globe - swings forward and backward within the stand, the globe turns left and right within the meridian).
