A natural colored maple wood globe is hand carved and  assembled with 1,000 square cut wooden sections. 665 pieces of dark Maple wood are hand cut and shaped into each country in order to contrast with the 335 hand cut pieces of light Maple wood to represent the oceans. 

The nautical style wheel turns a full circle, and the globe itself spins on pins inserted through North and South Poles, allowing full 360° movement. Longitude and Latitude lines are made from 24k gold ribbon and hand applied.

All lettering is hand applied to these finely detailed world globes. The world globe is hand painted, and coated with 10 layers of lacquer to protect the globe for generations to come.  The genuine world globe is built to last.
